Fairies Summer Audax Rides 50 to 400km
The much-loved and long-running summer series of Audax rides from Bethersden are back in 2027. After 23 years of evolution - starting life as the Fairies Flat 5 - we are adding a 300 and a 400km event. For Paris-Brest-Paris aspirants these will be last gasp qualifiers, or else to keep the miles and endurance up for this iconic French event which has been run since the 19th century.
All except the 50km still take you to the iconic cycling destination of Dungeness, which is the nearest you can get to the end of the world in Kent. And the 50km Summer Breeze still takes you to Headcorn Airfield cafe. There’s a great choice of distances to suit a wide range of riders. Which one will you choose?

Apart from the pleasant Kent countryside, the flatish routes and the quality of food provided, participants often welcome the traditional Fairies welcome, TLC and legendary soup. Riders on the 300km will return to the hall to sample the TLC (or catch some sleep) after 100km; riders on the 400km after both 100 and 200km. You will have to do the hard work but we don’t want to make this event harder than needed.
Entries will close one week before the event. There are no entries on the day except for the 50km Summer Breeze.
The maps, routesheets and rider briefing are for 2026 but will give you an idea of what to expect. The routes for the 300km and 400km will follow shortly.

Entry will be opened before Christmas through the audax UK website by selecting a date range which includes 27/6/2027.
