The first and last races caught the worst if it and one rider in the last one finished suffering with hypothermia. After receiving medical attention he was able to return home.

Heavy rain in the early morning probably reduced the number of riders, but we have donated &pound;&pound;354 to the Kent Air Ambulance. The choice of route, extensive signage and marshaling and the refreshments on the Romney Marsh were all praised by many riders.
