A good turnout at Harrietsham with 9 riders opting for the ride out to the Kent Gliding Club at Challock.  Suitably briefed the group set off to join the Pilgrim’s Way towards Lenham.  Warmed up and prepared for the Hubbards Hill climb to the North Downs this was tackled with enthusiasm.  Re-grouping at the top we had the joy of a flat ride with views along Waterditch Road to then tackle the mucky roads through the woods at the top of Charing Hill.  Crossing the Faversham Road then a brief stint along the busy A252 Canterbury Road to Squids Gate Lane and the Kent Gliding Club.  More bikes than gliders present as we found the Easyriders already there.  A good catch up and refreshments with a group of Medway Velos arriving soon after us.  A return along the A252 and then a right turn for a great escape down the lane by Cedar House Farm  to Westwell with a couple missing the right turn into Dunn Street Farm Road, The Pigrim’s Way.  Re-grouped for an undulating ride to Charing going south over the A20 to turn right to Charing Heath, Lenham Heath and back to our start.  A satisfying ride, all keeping dry with no punctures.  24 miles at an average of 12.1 mph.

A good turnout of 17 at Staplehurst,with a very rainy start.Many thanks to Brian Kavanagh for leading a lovely flat ride of 31 miles with a break at Yalding,without any problems.A few new riders joining the group and keeping up well,averaging about 11.5 mph
